Rashtriya Gokul Mission which was launched by PM Narendra Modi in 2013, a move to enhance fatmer’s milk production in the nation, specially to led unemployed youth to establish themselves as successful cow breeders, Assam has also been part of this initiative.
According to the reports, Assam has earlier targeted 7.30 lakh cows and by 2022–23 has proven immensely successful, with 6.72 lakh cows artificially inseminated.
Acknowledging the achievement of the state, Assam’s 30 beneficiaries of the Rashtriya Gokul Mission scheme, entrepreneurial cattle breeders and artificial cattle breeders, have been specially invited by the Indian Government to participate in the Republic Day parade in Delhi.
