Assam CS Reviews Preparedness For June 21 Neet-UG RE-Exam In State

Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota on Monday held a discussion with Chief Postmaster General Arvind Verma regarding preparedness and precautionary measures for the smooth conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 Re-Examination, scheduled in the State on June 21.
The re-examination will be conducted across 88 examination centres in 17 examination districts, covering over 43,000 candidates across Assam.
The Chief Secretary reviewed arrangements for the secure handling, transportation and distribution of examination materials and emphasised close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure a fair, secure and seamless examination process across the State.
Ravi Kota had on May 30 reviewed the preparedness for the re-examination in accordance with the guidelines of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
“Detailed instructions were issued to ensure a secure, transparent and student-friendly examination environment without any logistical or administrative difficulties,” the chief secretary said after chairing a comprehensive video conference with all district commissioners and senior superintendents of police, jointly with the Assam DGP.
Reviewing the district-wise preparedness, Kota directed the DCs and SSPs to personally oversee all arrangements.
