Assam Crowned Champions Of 2ND Ne Little Masters Cricket Trophy

Assam emerged champions of the 2nd North East Little Masters Cricket Trophy (Under-14) after registering a 159-run victory over Tripura in the final played at the MBB Stadium in Agartala on Thursday.
The tournament was hosted by the Tripura Cricket Association with the objective of promoting and strengthening grassroots cricket across the Northeast region.
Hosts Tripura elected to field first after winning the toss.
Batting first, Assam produced a commanding batting performance to post an imposing total of 286 for 6 wickets in their allotted 40 overs.
Tanveer Islam led the charge with a magnificent 112 off 82 deliveries, while Binoy Krishna Debnath remained unbeaten on 64 from 54 balls. Kaustav Gogoi also made a valuable contribution with 26 runs off 34 deliveries.
For Tripura, Udayan Paul was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 48, while Bihan Das and Bijoy Deb claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Tripura were restricted to 127/7 in their allotted 40 overs. Udayan Paul top-scored with 53 off 109 balls, while Arnav Debbarma and Sachin Hassen chipped in with 18 runs each.
Assam’s bowlers delivered a disciplined and clinical performance, with Kunal Bezbaruah and Ayush Pandey picking up two wickets each. Priyam Kundu impressed with remarkable figures of 2/6two for six runs, while Tanveer Islam also contributed with the ball, claiming 1 wicket for 10 runs.
