Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a crucial meeting on November 20 to discuss strategic advancements in the state’s education sector, including the introduction of the groundbreaking “leader schools” initiative. The “leader schools” are set to redefine educational standards by integrating modern infrastructure, holistic teaching approaches, and a strong focus on technology-driven education. This project, in partnership with the World Bank, aims to create a dynamic education ecosystem that fosters community involvement and ensures quality learning for students across Assam.
In addition to this, the Chief Minister highlighted other initiatives designed to enhance student accessibility, including the distribution of scooties, tablets, and bicycles. He also reaffirmed the state’s commitment to academic excellence, announcing that the prestigious Anundoram Borooah Award will honor outstanding students.
The meeting also covered preparations for the upcoming teacher recruitment exam, aiming to address staffing shortages and streamline the hiring process for schools.
