Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced the 2026 exam schedule for HSLC (Matric) and Higher Secondary Final Exams. In an update issued on X (previously Twitter), he indicated that the HSLC exam will begin on 10 February 2026, while the Higher Secondary Final Exam will start on 11 February 2026. He also indicated that HSLC practical tests will be held in January 2026 at the same centres as the theory exams, indicating no separate venues will be used for practicals this year.
The Assam HS Exam Routine 2026 is scheduled to be issued soon by AHSEC. While the detailed timetable is still awaited, students are encouraged to start preparing according to the tentative dates. Online registration for the Higher Secondary exams commenced on October 22, 2025, and will stay available until November 25, 2025.
