Assam CM distributes cheques to women entrepreneurs in Dhubri

In the Dhubri district, cheques under the Chief Minister’s Women Entrepreneurship Scheme were delivered by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. About 23,000 women received cheques at the check distribution program, which took place in the playground of Halakura Higher Secondary School in Golokganj. As part of the Women Entrepreneurship Scheme, the Chief Minister ceremoniously gave cheques to ten women; the remaining female entrepreneurs received Rs 10,000 apiece in their bank accounts.

The Chief Minister stated in his speech that this financial support will enable around 23,000 women who are members of self-help groups within the Golokganj cluster to engage in any type of commerce or enterprise and become self-sufficient. In addition, each woman received a travel subsidy of Rs 100 and an invitation letter signed by the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister was accompanied by a number of prominent party office bearers, including Dhubri district Guardian Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, former Golokganj BJP Legislator Aswani Roy Sarkar, Chairman of the Dhubri Municipal Board Dr. Debamoy Sanyal, and others.
