Assam CM announces the opening of recruitment for 4,500 school teachers

The hiring process for 4,500 Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) teaching positions in Assam has begun, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. This action supports the state’s goal of creating 1.5 lakh government jobs by 2026. The official Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) website, dee.assam.gov.in, will accept applications from February 15 to March 31. Earlier in 2024, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized a noteworthy accomplishment made by the BJP government during the issuance of employment letters to new hires in the Education department today. The Chief Minister declared that the state administration had helped 97,454 people find work since taking office.

“In our tenure, 97,454 individuals have secured government jobs,” Chief Minister Sarma remarked, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to merit-based appointments and the fight against corruption in hiring practices. In the past, bribery was frequently used to get government posts. Transparency and fair opportunity are now guaranteed by our focus on merit,” he continued. In addition to congratulating the recently hired employees, Chief Minister Sarma reiterated the government’s resolve to increase job opportunities. “Our goal is to provide jobs to 150,000 youths in Assam, ensuring a brighter future for our state,” he stated.
