Asia Healthcare acquired majority stake in AINU

Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH), a single specialty healthcare delivery platform, has acquired a majority stake in the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), India’s largest single specialty hospital network. AHH plans to invest 600cr in the company through primary and secondary infusions. This acquisition marks AHH’s expansion into a fourth speciality, making it the largest and only single speciality healthcare delivery platform in India and the Asian sub-continent. AHH, launched in 2017, has scaled enterprises in Oncology, Women & Children’s, and IVF & Fertility, all achieving leadership positions within their respective domains.

In 2013, AINU, established by top Urologists and Nephrologists like Dr. C Mallikarjuna and Dr. P C Reddy, has become a pioneering hospital network in the Urology & Nephrology clinical specialty in India. Operating seven hospitals across Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Siliguri, and Chennai, the network has over500 beds, treated 400,000 patients, and completed over 50,000 procedures. AINU has taken a leadership position in robotic urology surgery, having completed over 1,000 surgeries using robotic technology. In Nephrology, the enterprise has performed over 200,000 dialysis and 300 kidney transplants.
