Army Personnel Retrieve Vehicle After Mishap in Arunachal

A team from the Spearhead Division of the Indian Army’s Spear Corps undertook a rapid response operation to recover a civilian vehicle that had fallen approximately 60 meters down a steep slope in the Basar district of Arunachal Pradesh. The vehicle, a Bolero pickup owned by an individual named Amar, came to rest precariously close to a residential area after its descent. Official reports from the PRO Defense highlighted that due to the prompt action of the recovery team, no casualties occurred, thus averting a potentially significant tragedy. The mobilization involved a junior commissioned officer and four other personnel, who operated a heavy-duty recovery vehicle to the site. The recovery operation was challenging due to difficult terrain and adverse weather conditions. Nonetheless, the team successfully executed the recovery through careful planning, effective coordination, and persistent efforts, ensuring the safe handling of the severely damaged vehicle.
