The Anti-Terror Team (ATS) of the Uttar Pradesh Police asserted that it had busted a group that supplied smuggled weapons into Azamgarh and neighbouring areas with the arrest of two people on Saturday.
Ramshabd Yadav and his friend Sanjay Yadav were caught smuggling illicit weapons into Madhya Pradesh by the ATS’ field unit in Azamgarh. Up to 10 illegal.32 bore handguns, two live rounds, ammo, two mobile phones, a car, and Rs 2,700 cash were found on them, according to the ATS. According to the report, a case has been filed against the detained suspect under the relevant provisions of the Indian Criminal Code and the Arms Act.
Whereas Ramshabd has 31 cases filed against him at different Azamgarh police stations.
