86.30% of ration cardholders under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana benefited from the distribution of 89.11% of the allotted food grains on Day 7 of Anna Sewa Din in February. This distribution campaign will continue until this month’s tenth, guaranteeing everyone’s access to food. On February 3, Smti. Arunima Kakaty, ACS, AC, Tamulpur, accompanied representatives from the FPD and CA Department to visit FPS in Gandhibari, Tamulpur, and Kumarikata to assess the implementation of Anna Sewa Din.
Arunima kept an eye on NFSA rice deliveries throughout the assessment phase and solicited beneficiary input for enhancements. Reports indicate that on the first day of Anna Sewa Din, 16.30% of cardholders in the state benefited from the distribution of 17.69% of the 1,35,616.25 MT of free food grains that were allotted. On the second day of Anna Sewa Din in February 2025, 36.39% of the 1,35,616.25 MT of free food grains that were allotted were distributed, benefiting 33.88% of cardholders throughout the state.
On the third day, 48.96% of ration cards were used, and 53.19% of the free food grains that were allotted were distributed to Assamese beneficiaries. Similarly, 64.84% of ration cardholders under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana benefited from the distribution of 68.30% of allotted food grains on Day 4, and 73.56% of ration cardholders under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana benefited from the distribution of 76.92% of allotted food grains on Day 5.
