Ankeet Bahety, a Kolkata resident and Hult International Business School alumnus, achieved success by joining InsuranceDekho (ID) despite facing career uncertainties. A hardworking and resilient individual, Ankeet overcame unwanted odds to achieve remarkable success in the insurance sector.
Ankeet faced personal setbacks, including not completing his CA certification, leaving him uncertain about his future. Determined to find a new path, he pursued higher education abroad, preparing for the GMAT and scoring 630 on his second attempt. Ankeet, a Master’s program graduate, was offered a job at a Big 4 company in the USA but had to prioritize his parents’ well-being.
He returned to Kolkata in late 2019 to support his family, but struggled with unemployment and responsibilities, leading to depression. In September 2020, he joined InsuranceDekho, a one-stop insurance solution, starting with health insurance. Recognizing the universal need for insurance, Ankeet saw an opportunity to leverage his connections and work with his father’s clientele base to scale his insurance business. Ankeet Bahety’s said,” I have achieved various milestones, such as receiving the Sampark Award and becoming a member of the esteemed ID Achievers Club. Additionally, I had the opportunity to travel to Thailand as a reward for my achievements.”
