Andhra Allots 480 Acres For Adani-Google AI Data Centre In Visakhapatnam

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the allocation of 480 acres of land across Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts to Adani Infra (India) Pvt Ltd, designated as the “primary notified partner” of Raiden Infotech India, a Google company, for establishing 1 GW AI Data Centres in the state. Earlier, Raiden had identified several entities—including Adani Infra (India) Pvt Ltd, AdaniConneX India Pvt Ltd, Adani Power India Pvt Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Nxtra Data Ltd, and Nxtra Vizag Limited—as its notified partners for the project. Raiden specifically requested that all three land parcels identified by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) be allotted to Adani Infra, contingent upon survey completion and possession handover.

Following careful review, the state government, citing approval from its council of ministers on November 28, 2025, formally sanctioned the land transfer on December 2. Raiden Infotech’s phased data centre project entails a cumulative investment exceeding ₹87,500 crore, with ₹22,000 crore expected in government incentives over time. The 1 GW facility, capable of powering Google services like Search, YouTube, and Workspace, will consume nearly half of Mumbai’s annual electricity. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu noted that Google’s investment has increased from USD 10 billion to USD 15 billion.
