Ampere opens new experience centre in Guwahati to boost electric scooter sales

Greaves Electric Mobility has expanded Ampere’s retail and service network in Guwahati with the inauguration of a new dealership, BK Ampere Electrical Scooter, at Garigaon, Jalukbari, on Sunday.

The new Ampere Experience Centre will showcase the company’s electric scooter portfolio and provide sales and service support under one roof. The range includes the Ampere Nexus EX+, featuring a 5 kW motor, Magnus GMax, Magnus Neo and the recently launched Reo Vyb, targeting families, daily commuters and younger riders.

The Nexus EX+ and Magnus GMax are also available with more than 30 intelligent features powered by Intellipack. The portfolio features next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology and a standard battery warranty of up to five years or 75,000 km.

Ampere highlighted its real-world performance credentials, citing the Magnus GMax’s nearly 4,000-km endurance ride from Dong Valley in Arunachal Pradesh to GuharMoti in Gujarat’s Kutch region in 15 days. The Nexus platform has also tackled Kolli Hills’ 70 hairpin bends and reached Shipki La Pass at 13,200 feet.

The expansion comes as Guwahati’s growing urban mobility needs offer opportunities for electric two-wheelers, particularly among daily commuters seeking practical alternatives. The new centre is expected to improve local access to electric scooters, product information and after-sales support, while strengthening Ampere’s presence in Assam.
