Amit Shah’s flight to Assam is delayed because of heavy fog

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to arrive in Assam for a day-long visit that would include a number of significant events in the districts of Guwahati and Nagaon. Around ten in the morning, he is anticipated to arrive in Guwahati. Dense fog caused his travel to be canceled, forcing him to postpone his visit, which was originally scheduled for Sunday night. Amit Shah will pay floral tributes to the martyrs at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Guwahati shortly after his arrival. After that, he would go to the Nagaon area to launch the much awaited Batadrava Project in Bordowa, a significant spiritual and cultural endeavor honoring Srimanta Sankardev. At the inauguration site, the Union Home Minister will also speak at a sizable public gathering.

Major facilities like the Guru Asana, Manikanchan Naamghar, two guest houses, an administrative building, a pilgrim rest house, a skill development center, a research center, a main entrance gate, boundary walls, a cultural center, a musical fountain and laser show, Krishnaleela theater, Natghar, ten ethnic cottages, and a health center are all part of the Rs 227 crore Batadrava Project. The initiative is anticipated to be crucial in advancing cultural tourism and Assam’s spiritual legacy. In order to improve urban policing and security management in the city, Amit Shah will return to Guwahati in the afternoon to open the Police Commissionerate Office and the Integrated Command and Control Center.

The largest auditorium in the Northeast, the Jyoti-Bishnu Auditorium, will be inaugurated later in the evening by the Union Home Minister. The cutting-edge auditorium, which cost Rs 227 crore to build, has 5,000 seats and is almost 11,000 square meters in size. It has contemporary lighting and sound systems and 450 parking spaces. Notably, the cultural center will use solar energy to power itself, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability. Amit Shah’s visit is seen as important for Assam since it signifies the start of significant administrative, cultural, and security infrastructure projects throughout the state.
