Union Home Minister Amit Shah will meet with high-level officials in Siliguri, West Bengal, on Friday and participate in the Raising Day celebrations at the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Frontier Headquarters. At the Bagdogra Airport in the northern region of the state, Union Minister and West Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar welcomed Shah upon his arrival on Thursday evening.
According to sources, the Union home minister’s Friday program starts at 11 AM with his attendance at the Raising Day festivities at the parade ground of the SSB Frontier Headquarters in Siliguri. According to them, there will be a parade and cultural events to commemorate the day. Shah will preside over a meeting with SSB representatives later today to go over the Area Assessment Register. The eastern and northeastern border security dynamics and border management are anticipated to be the main topics of this review meeting, which will again take place at the SSB Frontier Headquarters.
According to a top state BJP leader, he will depart for Tripura following the area assessment register review meeting at the SSB frontier headquarters. West Bengal BJP sources claim that Shah has no political commitments but that he will probably meet with Majumdar to talk about the state unit’s organizational issues. Shah’s interactions with the paramilitary force are made more significant by the visit’s context, which is the continuing dynamics between Bangladesh and India.
