New Delhi: Amid the increasing pace of coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in the country is also improving day by day. With 10,386 patients being recovered from the deadly COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered patients in the country crossed the 2 lakh-mark to reach 2,04,710 on Friday.
With this the recovery rate in the country also improved to 53.79 per cent from 52.96 per cent. The Health Ministry said in a release that the trend in daily numbers shows an increasing rate of recovery and an increasing gap between active and recovered cases.
The health ministry cited timely measures and lockdown for the increase in the proportion of recovered cases. However, the country recorded highest single-day spike of over 13,000 new infections during the last 24 hours taking India’s COVID-19 tally to 3,80,532 on Friday.
