Amazon’s Propel Startup Accelerator Season 3 crowns Mirana Toys, Avimee Herbal, and Perfora as victors

In a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship, Amazon India proudly announced Mirana Toys, Avimee Herbal, and Perfora as the triumphant champions of the Amazon Global Selling Propel Startup Accelerator Season 3. These dynamic startups seized a collective $100,000 grant from Amazon, marking a significant milestone in their journey towards global prominence. Mirana Toys, a trailblazer in merging digital technology with physical play through app-controlled augmented reality games, impressed judges with their innovative smart toy offerings. Avimee Herbal, founded by the venerable 85-year-old Radha Krishna Choudhary, affectionately known as Nanaji, captivated attention with its traditional Ayurvedic hair care solutions deeply rooted in centuries-old remedies. Perfora emerged victorious with its commitment to revolutionizing everyday oral care using clean ingredients and exceptional design, making it India’s premier made-safe certified oral health brand.

The Propel Accelerator Season 3, launched in March 2023, garnered an overwhelming response, attracting over 1,200 applications from startups and emerging brands across 140 cities in India. Forty-seven finalists, including notable brands like Giva, Mokobara, and Open Secret, were selected, with winners and finalists collectively receiving over $1 million in AWS Activate credits. The intensive eight-week accelerator program featured workshops, one-on-one mentorship sessions, and virtual mentorship sessions tailored to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in the global marketplace. Notably, the program introduced a unique bootcamp to assist finalists in launching their products on Amazon marketplaces worldwide, providing personalized support and guidance.

Reflecting on the success of Propel Accelerator Season 3, Bhupen Wakankar, Director of Global Trade at Amazon India, expressed admiration for the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation demonstrated by Indian startups. He reiterated Amazon’s commitment to nurturing small businesses and facilitating their expansion into global markets, aiming to enable $20 billion in cumulative e-commerce exports from India by 2025. Devansh Sharma, Co-Founder of Mirana Toys, lauded the program for guiding their foray into global markets, emphasizing the invaluable insights gained from industry leaders and peers. With the support and guidance provided by Amazon Propel, Mirana Toys successfully launched on Amazon USA and is poised for further international expansion.
