Amazon MX Player, India’s leading free, premium, ad-supported video streaming service, has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming original series Amar Vishwas, a gripping courtroom drama that dives deep into the intersection of power, crime, and justice. Headlined by Rajeev Khandelwal in the titular role, alongside Ravi Behl, Aamir Ali, and Barkha Bisht, the series sets the stage for a high-stakes courtroom battle where truth is where truth is elusive and justice comes at a steep price. The trailer opens with the brutal murder of an influential film producer, Jessu Momin, a case the media is quick to label as ‘open-and-shut’. Suspicion immediately falls on Bahar Chakravarty, a young woman already convicted by public perception. Stepping into the fray is Amar Vishwas, an unconventional and razor-sharp lawyer who knows that facts alone rarely reveal the full story.
As Amar takes on Bahar’s defence, he begins to uncover layers of exploitation, manipulation, and long-buried secrets, revealing a conspiracy that runs deeper and darker than it first appears. Based on the acclaimed novels by Suhas Shirvalkar, Amar Vishwas is created and produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar under the banner of GSEAMS, makers of highly acclaimed show Samantar. Amar Vishwas blends the intensity of courtroom drama with the grit of investigative crime. With every argument, cross-examination, and revelation, the series raises an unsettling question: Will the truth finally lead to justice?
Speaking about the series, Amogh Dusad, Director and Head of Content, Amazon MX Player, said, “Amar Vishwas is inspired by the work of Suhas Shirvalkar, a towering figure in Marathi literature whose writing has influenced generations of Indian storytelling.” Sharing his thoughts on playing the lead, Rajeev Khandelwal said, “What drew me to the role was the constant moral tension he lives with, where every truth uncovered comes with a price. The trailer only scratches the surface of the journey this character takes.” Aamir Ali, who plays a pivotal role in the series, added, “The characters live in grey zones, and the legal battles are as much about power and perception as they are about the law. Being part of a story that explores these layers has been incredibly rewarding.” Also speaking about the show, Ravi Behl shared, “It lets the characters and situations unfold naturally, keeping the audience engaged as the layers of the case are revealed. This measured pace is what gives the narrative its depth and staying power.” Sharing their thoughts, Creators & Producers, Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar said, “Amar Vishwas comes from a desire to tell a story that feels deeply rooted yet relevant today.” The series will stream exclusively on Amazon MX Player from 11th February 2026, available on the MX Player app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Connected TVs.
