Amazon India experienced its largest 48-hour shopping event with 9.5 crore customer visits, with Prime members’ shopping spiked 18x in the first 24 hours of PEA. This marked the highest single-day sales for thousands of sellers, marking the start of the festive season. Customers enjoyed over 5,000 new launches across various categories, including smartphones, laptops, TVs, fashion, home décor, appliances, furniture, and groceries.
Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023 attracted 9.5 crore customers in the first 48 hours, with the highest number of Prime members shopping. Over 80% of customers came from non-metro cities, and over 10 lakh received same-day delivery. The event saw thousands of sellers achieve their highest-ever single-day sales, with 65% hailing from tier 2-3 cities. The most preferred smartphone brands were OnePlus, Samsung, and Apple.
Amazon Pay UPI saw the highest sign-ups, with over 35 crore Indians accessing Instant Bank Discount offers on SBI Credit and Debit cards. Flight bookings increased 2.5x compared to last year, and over 5,000 new products were launched across various categories.
