The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Wednesday announced National Sports Award 2023. Cricketer Mohammad Shami will be conferred the Arjuna Award along with 25 other sportperson by President Droupadi Murmu on January 9, 2024. Shooters Esha Singh and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar who bagged gold medals at Hangzhou Asian Games will also be conferred the award. This is actually very good news as today India is performing so well in sports and making its name in the world.
Today sport is very important for any country as every country want to perform well in it. In reality sportsperson of India works very hard and make our country proud. Most of this sportsperson come from very simple family where they have many problems. For this reason it becomes very important to encourage them by giving award like Arjuna Award. In reality it becomes very important to respect this sportsperson who are giving their life for the country.
