Alipurduar, May 11: Alipurduar University Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Rathin Banerjee met with a serious accident during his visit to Siliguri on Saturday afternoon.
Reports suggest that Vice Chancellor Rathin Banerjee was going from Alipurduar to Siliguri by road when his car collided with a truck in Bagribari area of Guabar Nagar gram panchayat of Falakata block. During this time the car overturned several times due to the collision. VC suffered a lot of injuries due to this.
Upon receiving the news, officials from Falakata police station immediately reached the location and Rathin Banerjee was shifted to a private hospital in Siliguri. Police are inspected the cause of the accident.
