Akhil Gogoi Demands Probe into APSC Result Fiasco

Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi has called for an impartial investigation into the abrupt cancellation of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 results by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), which was announced only to be retracted shortly thereafter. Gogoi accused the APSC of corruption, suggesting that the results were annulled because candidates favored by the Assam Chief Minister were excluded. This incident has heightened concerns regarding the integrity of the APSC, especially given its history of irregularities, including previous arrests of leadership due to misconduct. The APSC attributed the cancellation to an “inadvertent error,” indicating that a revised select list will be provided following a thorough review of the results initially issued on February 16, 2026. Candidates are now facing uncertainty as they await the revised listing.
