Air India Express has announced the addition of Phuket, Thailand, and Dibrugarh, Assam, to its rapidly growing network, enhancing connectivity and convenience for travelers. National, December 31, 2024: Continuing its expansion in Southeast Asia, Air India Express will commence direct flights between Hyderabad and Phuket starting January 31, 2025. Initially operating three times a week, the frequency will increase to six times weekly from February 15. Special inaugural fares start at ₹10,500, with loyalty discounts available on the airline’s website and mobile app.
In the domestic sector, Dibrugarh has been added as a new station, with direct flights to Guwahati and onward connections to Delhi. Known as the ‘Tea City of India,’ Dibrugarh serves as a vital hub for trade, tourism, and industry in Assam. With convenient one-stop connections to major cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata, the new route is expected to boost Dibrugarh’s prominence in the national travel map.
Dibrugarh’s thriving tea industry and vibrant markets are anticipated to benefit from the new flights.
