The Indian Army, under the aegis of the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Narangi, Assam, commenced the Agniveer Recruitment Rally today at Bhogeshwar Sports Complex (Jaswant Stadium), Missamari Cantonment. The rally, scheduled from 07 to 15 February, is being conducted for candidates from 15 districts of Lower and Western Assam.
Day One of the rally was marked by high energy, discipline and a strong spirit of service as aspiring candidates of Baksa and Chirang district as per schedule of rally reported to the venue. The Phase 2 of the recruitment process included 1.6 km run, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Documentation and Medical. Young aspirants demonstrated remarkable stamina, determination and motivation while successfully undertaking the physically demanding assessments.
Addressing the event, Brig Vivek Arya, Commander, 71 Artillery Brigade, lauded the enthusiasm and resilience of the candidates. He stated, “The enthusiasm and grit displayed by these young boys are commendable. This rally is a testament to the Indian Army’s commitment to equal opportunity, discipline and national service.”
Officials emphasized that the recruitment process is being conducted with the highest standards of transparency, fairness and strict adherence to safety protocols. The rally will continue over the coming days, covering all 15 districts under ARO Narangi.
The ongoing recruitment rally reflects the Indian Army’s sustained efforts to strengthen its human resource base by inducting competent, disciplined and motivated youth, while promoting diversity and equality in service to the nation.
