AESL signs MoU with Indian Army, offers scholarships to families

Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), a leading test preparatory services provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army to extend educational support and welfare benefits to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. The agreement, signed by Colonel, Ceremonial & Welfare, Indian Army, and Dr Yash Pal, Chief Academic & Business Head, Delhi-NCR, AESL, aims to provide nationwide scholarships and special provisions for Army students enrolling at AESL centres across India.

Under the MoU, AESL will offer full fee waivers—except registration—for wards of personnel who died in service, 100% tuition waivers for wards of gallantry awardees and personnel with over 20% disability, and 20% tuition fee waivers for children of serving and retired personnel, over and above existing scholarships. The initiative also includes mentoring and counselling support through virtual and physical platforms.

AESL Managing Director and CEO Chandra Sekhar Garisa Reddy said the partnership honours soldiers’ sacrifices by empowering their families through quality education and guidance. The company had earlier signed a similar MoU with the Central Reserve Police Force Family Welfare Association. The development is expected to strengthen AESL’s presence in Kolkata, where demand for structured coaching for competitive exams like NEET and JEE continues to grow. With a significant defence and paramilitary population in eastern India, the initiative could drive increased enrolments and reinforce AESL’s brand positioning in the region’s competitive test preparation landscape.
