Hollywood celebrity Angelina Jolie was recently stranded in the Ukrainian metropolis of Lviv as the war with Russia continued. The Eternals actress was clicked in the western metropolis of Lviv sporting a plain outfit, with a bag on her back. She congratulated fans who admitted to stopping her by saving her at an espresso.
Maya Pidhorodetska posted Jolie’s photo from the cafe on Facebook and captioned it, “Nothing special. Only in Lviv. I just went for coffee. Only Angelina Jolie,” she wrote in Ukrainian after filming the actress, who waved at him from the counter. “Ukraine is clearly supported using the whole world,” Pidhorodetska added.
Russian forces massed in the American east for a renewed offensive. Footage shows Jolie signing autographs for her fans in Ukraine. In some of Jolie’s different moments, she is surrounded by a large crowd. It is said that these scenes are of the outdoor Lviv railway station.
Jolie is not the first Hollywood celebrity to land in Ukraine amid the war with Russia. American actor Sean Penn filmed a VICE documentary on the early period of the war. While Kyiv was under attack, Penn and his team walked miles to the Polish border. The actor, 61, each said he and his film crew decided to abandon their car and walk on foot after seeing thousands of Ukrainian residents fleeing for safety, with queues stretching for miles.
