Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd (ABD) reported steady financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with growth in revenue and profitability on a standalone basis, supported by continued premiumisation, higher sales of premium brands and strategic investments in its luxury portfolio.
The company reported standalone income from operations of ₹975 crore for Q1FY27, up 5.3 per cent from ₹926 crore a year earlier. Standalone EBITDA rose 14.4 per cent to ₹140 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) increased 11.9 per cent to ₹68 crore.
On a consolidated basis, income from operations grew 5.8 per cent to ₹984 crore, while EBITDA remained largely flat at ₹120 crore compared with ₹119 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Consolidated PAT declined to ₹45 crore from ₹56 crore due to planned investments in the company’s newly established super-premium and luxury portfolio under ABD Maestro and the impact of global supply chain disruptions. Excluding the estimated ₹24 crore disruption impact, like-to-like EBITDA stood at ₹144 crore, with PAT at ₹63 crore.
Managing Director Amar Sinha said the company’s transformation strategy remained on track despite temporary supply chain challenges, adding that investments in brands, people, premiumisation and backward integration would support medium-term topline growth in the mid-teens. He also said the recently implemented India-UK Free Trade Agreement is expected to improve margins and strengthen sourcing flexibility for premium products.
During the quarter, ABD’s Prestige & Above portfolio recorded 10.7 per cent year-on-year growth, with premium products contributing a larger share of both volume and value sales. The company’s flagship premium whisky ICONiQ White sold 3.1 million cases, registering 33.8 per cent growth over the previous year and retaining its position as the world’s fastest-growing millionaire whisky brand.
ABD also expanded its international footprint to 39 countries, introduced its luxury brands in additional overseas markets and launched Zoya Pink, a new extension of its premium gin portfolio. The company further strengthened its brand credentials by receiving several industry recognitions, including the ‘Distiller of the Year’ award at the Icons of Whisky India Awards 2026.
