Actor Akhil Mishra, known for playing librarian Dubey in Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’, died on September 21. The actor lived with his wife and actress Suzanne Bernert. The 67-year-old actor was shooting for a project in Hyderabad.
Suzanne’s publicist confirmed the news of the actor’s death and revealed that he had slipped and died in the kitchen. “He was sitting on a chair in the kitchen trying to do something when he fell down and hit his head. He was found bleeding and was rushed to the hospital. Even after the efforts of the doctors, he could not survive and died a few hours later. “
Over the years, Akhil Mishra has starred in ‘Don’, ‘Gandhi My Father’, ‘Shikhar’ and more. His role as librarian Dubey in ‘Three Idiots’ was widely loved. Apart from films, Akhil has also been a part of several popular television shows like ‘Uttaran’, ‘Udaan’, ‘CID’, ‘Shriman Srimati’, ‘Hatim’ and others.
On the personal front, Akhil married German actress Suzanne Bernert on February 3, 2009. They later got married on September 30, 2011 in a traditional ceremony.
