A page editor at Reuters found dead in Bengaluru

A 28 years old page editor at Reuters Bangalore bureau Shruti Narayanan was found dead in her apartment in ‘Sruthinilayam’ Kasaragod, Vidyanagar Chala Road in Bengaluru. Shruti was the daughter of former teacher and environmental activist Narayanan Periya and former teacher Satyabhama who live on Vidyanagar Chala Road.

It has been reported that when her husband Aneesh was away from home, she hanged herself. They were married for five years. They stayed in an apartment in Nallurhalli Mayfair, Bengaluru. The day Shruti was found dead, Aneesh was away at Taliparamba, a municipality of Kannur district, Kerala. Her mother called her from home but she got no reply from her daughter. Then Shruti was found dead. A post-mortem examination has done after that and it has confirmed in the examination that Shruti died due to the hanging.

Shruthi’s brother Nishant is an engineer. He immediately contacted the security of her apartment on the phone and asked him to check into her room. But the room was locked from inside. Security broke open the door from the balcony and entered in her room. There they found Shruti hanging from the ceiling.

The relatives who arrived at the scene lodged a complaint with the Whitefield Police Station. They were asking about that the mystery should be cleared up.

Her brother blamed her husband Aneesh and said that he worked for a private company. He used to torture her on a daily basis because Shruti was sending a portion of her salary to her parent’s house every month. Nishant also alleged that Aneesh was installed hidden cameras around the house. He used to monitor Shruti’s daily movements and recording everything she said. Nishant told to police that Aneesh would take her on tours on the weekends and abuse her. Aneesh also once had made a murder attempt to kill Shruti but he failed when her loud screams alerted security guards of the apartment. They came and saved her life.

It has been reported that on the 20th and 21st March Nishant’s wife made multiple attempts to connect with Shruti on phone calls. When she got no reply from her, on 22nd March they visited Shruti’s home. There they found her.
