A historic partnership will allow Assam’s Joha Rice to enter the Vietnamese market

Vietnam will soon be able to enjoy the distinct flavor and scent of Assam’s renowned Joha rice, marking an important step in strengthening cultural and economic links between the two areas. LeKha Distributor Co. Ltd., a well-known Vietnamese company, has teamed up with Assam to sell its premium agricultural products to Vietnamese consumers. By early April, the first shipment, which will include 1,000 kg of Joha rice, is expected to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Le Trong Kha, Director of LeKha Distributor Co. Ltd., spoke about this partnership and commended the outstanding quality of Assamese agricultural products.

“The natural farming methods used in Northeast India, which totally eschew chemical pesticides and fertilizers, as well as the exceptional flavors of their produce, really impressed me during my visits there,” he remarked. LeKha Distributor intends to investigate more international markets and offer Assamese organic products, such as Joha rice, to its wide range of clients via its reliable online store, LeKhaMart.

The director of Jingshahi Enterprise, the project’s Assamese partner, Rajiv Medhi, was upbeat about the collaboration. This relationship demonstrates the possibilities of cross-border collaborations by giving Vietnamese customers access to Assam’s distinctive and environmentally friendly agricultural goods while also enhancing economic ties between Vietnam and Assam.
