Following their apparent food poisoning on Sunday evening, ten students from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Chokihola, close to the Golaghat-Karbi Anglong border, were admitted to Golaghat Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital. Following their meal of moong dal, cauliflower, and eggs, the children had a fever and vomiting, which led to the incident at the school hostel. Immediately on Sunday evening, the pupils were admitted to the hospital by the school administration.
Students from classes 7 through 10 who board in the school hostel are impacted. It is still unknown what caused the food poisoning. After receiving early care from the school’s teachers, the students’ condition deteriorated and they were admitted to the hospital. The students are receiving treatment at the moment and are doing well.
