Recently The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced ‘Economy Meals’ starting at just 20 rupees for general passengers at select stations. Actually they have decided to set up counters at 100 stations across the Indian Railways network. This is actually good that Indian Railways want to give food at very affordable cost so that everyone travel properly without empty stomach and people should encourage this step.

Actually Indian Railway is very big and huge number of people works here. In fact people of India feel very proud for Indian Railway as today people travel a lot by train and find it very useful. Today price of everything is increasing very quickly and people are much tensed for it as without money you can’t do anything. In reality this step by Indian Railway is good as people will find good food in reasonable price while travelling and will have a safe journey.

Recently The Indian railways saw yet another case of theft when a passenger going from Udupi to Bangalore found his laptop bag missing. Actually a search was conducted and the culprit was identified as Pudi Swaraj, who is a native of Andhra Pradesh, serving as an assistant loco pilot at the Sakleshpur railway station in Hassan. This is actually bad news as today such type of incident are coming from Indian railways as it is making a bad impression about them.

Cockroach found in food of Bande Bharat Express

A passenger from Madhya Pradesh aboard the Bande Bharat Express train was shocked to find a cockroach in his bread. The food was served by the IRCTC catering staff. The incident took place when the passenger was traveling from Bhopal to Gwalior.

Addressing the complaint immediately, IRCTC requested the passenger’s PNR number and said “We are deeply sorry for your unpleasant experience. Rest assured that appropriate measures will be taken to avoid such incidents in future.”

US ambassador makes a rare visit to Bhutan

Narendra Modi Flags off 4th Vande Bharat Express

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the 4th Vande Bharat Express train in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district on Thursday. This is the first Vande Bharat train for the state, which is going to hold assembly elections soon. The train will run from Amb Andaura in Himachal Pradesh to New Delhi.

The train will run six days a week except for Wednesday, stopping at Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib, and Una. It rushes to 100 km in an hour in just 52 seconds. The introduction of trains will help boost tourism in the region and provide a comfortable and fast mode of travel. In a video tweeted by Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, PM Modi is seen flagging off the train.

The new Vande Bharat train is an improved version of the earlier ones, much lighter and capable of reaching higher speeds in a shorter time, officials said.

Journey of the Ac toy train has started

AC toy train service started on Monday just before Durga Puja. Many MPs, MLAs, and district presidents of the BJP were present on this special occasion. Vistadome Troy train service with AC coach from New Jalpaiguri station to Darjeeling started from today.

GM Ansu Gupta, DRM SK Chaudhary along with BJP MP and state president Sukant Majumdar were present at the inauguration ceremony. Today, all of them flagged off the toy train in a brief inauguration ceremony at NJP station. According to railway sources AC Troy train left for Darjeeling today with about 50 passengers.

On this occasion, Darjeeling MP Raju Bisht said that today a new link has been added to the history of DHR. He said that the AC toy train service has started today. Passengers will enjoy traveling with the AC toy train in this festive season. Along with this, he said that the central government is making every possible effort to improve the Troy train.

Meanwhile, GM Ansur Gupta told reporters that the AC toy train will give tourists a new experience in the mountains during the festival season. Along with this, he also hoped that the number of tourists coming to the mountain would increase after the start of the AC toy train.

Just two days and then the waiting is over. From September 26, just before Durga Puja, the sound of the historic toy train will resonate in the mountains. According to Darjeeling Himalayan Railway sources, this time the journey of the toy train will be special as AC coach is also being added to the toy train. The toy train service on the Siliguri-Darjeeling route was suspended from September 3 due to landslides in the 17 Mile area. The Siliguri-Darjeeling toy train is restarting after 23 days from 26 September.

The tourism business had to face a lot of problems due to the closure of the toy train for such a long time during the puja season. According to sources in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, an AC coach will be added to the toy train. AC coach will be available from Siliguri on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. In addition, tourists can travel in AC coaches from Darjeeling on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Sabyasachi De, Public Relations Officer of North-Border Railway said, “We are getting huge bookings during the Puja season. Tourists are booking tickets in large numbers. Keeping in mind their convenience, AC coaches have been arranged. During the puja, the rush of tourists is so much that we have to plan separately and take bookings.”
