Security officials have shown pictures of a small cave that are used by terrorists as a hideout in the forests of Rajouri area in Jammu and Kashmir. Officials have also said that such hideouts are relatively difficult to detect and break. The terrorists had killed four security personnel on this Wednesday. Two army soldiers were killed and four others, including an officer, were injured after terrorists planted an explosive device during an encounter with security forces in Kandi area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Friday morning. According to army officials, the terrorists belong to the same group that ambushed an army truck on April 20 killed at least five soldiers and injured another.

“Based on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the Kandi forest of the Rajouri sector, a joint operation was launched. A search party makes contact with a group of terrorists holed up in a cave. The area is rocky and densely vegetated with steep hills,” the Indian Army said in a statement.

According to the statement, additional teams from the vicinity have been directed to the site of the encounter. “The injured personnel have been shifted to Command Hospital in Udhampur,” it added.

An army helicopter carrying two people crashed in a forest area on Thursday in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials. No casualties have been reported yet, but more details are awaited.

Officials said the accident took place in the Marwah area of the hill district.

A defense spokesman said a search operation had been launched.

Earlier this March, two pilots were killed after an Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashed in the Mandalay hills of Arunachal Pradesh.

A search operation was launched by the Indian Army, Armed Seema Bal (SSB) and police after the accident.

The officials informed the Army’s Cheetah helicopter was on an operational alert when it lost contact with air traffic controllers. It reportedly crashed near Mandalay, west of Bomdila.

School evacuated after bomb threat in Delhi

students of a school were evacuated on Wednesday when the school in south Delhi received a threat via email. Indian Public School in Sadiq Nagar at 10:49 am, received an email claiming that a bomb has been planted on the premises of the school. The premises have been searched by the police twice, but nothing suspicious has been found so far. As a precautionary measure school was evacuated by the police. Police arrived at the spot with Bomb Disposal Squad and the dog squad.

Last year in November, the school received a similar bomb threat email from an unknown sender. Which was a hoax email sent from Germany. Police are trying to discover the origin of the email which has threatened the citizens. Further detail is awaited.
