According to the World Meteorological Organization 2011-2020 was the warmest decade on record by a clear margin for both land and ocean. The World Meteorological Organization also said that the warmest six years on record globally were between 2015 and 2020 and each successive decade since the 1990s has been warmer than all previous decades. This is actually bad news and it is a very big concern as climate of the earth is changing.

We need to care the earth as we live here and it is our duty. Actually this is happening because of different human activity which is increasing different types of pollution. Human being should not be very selfish as the earth is not only for us and we should change our habits to make the earth a better place to live. We need to stop all activity which is changing the climate and creating pollution so that in future we don’t get trouble like making the earth warmer.

Recently it is found that the year 2023 is set to be the hottest on record. Actually several climate records were broken this year including rising greenhouse gas emission, record low Antarctic sea ice extent ,record sea level rise and record high sea surface temperatures as per a report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Extreme weather events due to climate change caused death and devastation. Today climate change is very critical and big issue as by it the earth is in danger.

People should not be very selfish as this world is for everyone. It is our duty to care the mother earth and fight against climate change. We need to take step against climate change so that everyone lives here happily. First thing we should do is to reduce pollution and make our earth green. There are many human activities which are making our earth hotter and we need to stop it. In this fast world we forget how important it is to take care our mother earth from where our existence came and it is our duty.

On Monday the private weather forecaster Skymet predicted “below normal” monsoon rainfall this year by citing the threat of El Nino. the private forecaster further added that in the upcoming month of June – September India may get only 94% of the rainfall that India usually gets in these months.

Contradictory to this IMD on Monday said that monsoon is likely to be Normal and there is a 67% probability for “normal to above normal” rainfall during June – September.  M Ravichandran, secretary of, ministry of earth sciences, while releasing IMD’s monsoon forecast said- “The forecast based on dynamical and statistical models suggests that quantitatively, the seasonal monsoon rainfall is likely to be 96% of the LPA with a model error of ± 5%.”

Mohapatra without taking the name of any said – “Please believe in the IMD whose forecast is reasonable, but has also accountability.” In India, agriculture is rain dependent, which employs the biggest workforce, 40% of food output and 52% of cropping. The wrong prediction will impact the GDP of the country and economic well-being.

Three medicative plant species found within the range of mountains have created it to International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of vulnerable Species following a recent assessment. Meizotropis pellita has been assessed as ‘critically endangered’, Fritilloria cirrhosa as ‘vulnerable’, and liliopsid genus hatagirea as ‘endangered’. These species area unit found within the chain of mountains region unfold across Asian nation, India, China, Sikkim, Afghanistan, and Asian country. IUCN is a world organisation (NGO) operating within the field of nature conservation and property use of natural resources.

Meizotropis pellita, ordinarily referred to as Patwa, may be a perennial woody plant with restricted distribution that’s endemic to Uttarakhand. The species is vulnerable by deforestation, environment fragmentation and forest fires. The oil extracted from its leaves contains robust antioxidants and may be a natural different to artificial antioxidants within the pharmaceutical industries.
