CC Tea inks anti-cancer research collaboration with Dr B Barooah Cancer Institute

CC Tea has signed three-year anti-cancer research collaboration to assess the efficacy of CC Tea extract on molecular pathways in lymphocytes and other blood cells of cancer patients of North-East India. The three phased research undertaking will begin with CC Tea extract tested on blood cells taken from cancer patients to concluding with the product being tested on patients directly.
According to the report, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh recorded the highest incidence of new cancer cases in the country among females and males respectively. The company recently concluded a 6 months anti-viral and immune modulatory research with the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and have found that CC Tea showed high anti-viral activity to the Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV) and Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV). It also suggests positive innate immune activation in gene analysis. Solar Eclipse (Surya Grahan) of June 10, 2021: An annular solar eclipse is going to take place on Thursday but it will not be visible in India except in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh for a few minutes before the sunset. The annular solar eclipse occurs when the sun, moon and the earth come in a straight line and almost on the same plane. It is a partial eclipse when a ring of fire appears in the sky. While people can enjoy the lunar eclipse with the naked eye, it is advised to never witness a solar eclipse with bare eyes. Protective eyeglasses, binoculars, a box projector or a telescope are advised to be used to safely witness the phenomenon.

The solar eclipse will not be visible in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh for a few minutes before the sunset, a prominent astrophysicist said. at around 5:52 pm. In the northern part of Ladakh, where the sun will set at around 6.15 pm, the last phases of the phenomenon can be seen at around 6 pm.

First, the partial eclipse will start at around 11:42 am Indian Standard Time and the annular eclipse will appear to occur from 3:30 pm and will continue up to 4:52 pm, though for different intervals for a particular region, depending upon one’s geographical location.

It is not safe to look at a solar eclipse directly, those who are viewing a solar eclipse should wear “solar viewing or eclipse glasses” throughout the entire eclipse” especially if one wants to face the sun.

Under its flagship Dettol ‘Banega Swasth India’ in partnership with Primus Partners, RB launched a unique life skills program for kids, ‘Birds and Bees Talk’ (BBT). This comprehensive sexuality education curriculum will help to make children informed with the help of accurate, fact-based and age-appropriate information on growing up, sexuality and life skills amongst adolescent kids. The curriculum was launched for children between the ages of 10-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu, Education Minister Shri Taba Tedir, Chief Secretary Shri Naresh Kumar and Education Secretary Smt. Niharika Rai.

Under this curriculum, teachers from the enrolled schools will be appointed and equipped with full program essentials. The training of these teachers will begin shortly to help them better train kids. The unique design of the program comprises of 27-hour lessons allowing the schools to teach in a staggered format, spread over the year. The Birds and Bees Talk program will be executed and implemented across Arunachal Pradesh in government and recognized private schools to ensure the maximum reach and beneficiaries. Arunachal Pradesh is an ideal state to kick-start this program in the North East as the education policy in the state is reformative. Interestingly, the curriculum is in alignment with the National Curriculum Framework and the recently announced New Education Policy 2020.

Six new Covid-19 cases in Arunachal

Six more people, including three Army personnel, have tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the total number of cases in the state to 67, a health department official said on Friday. Three Army men tested positive for the disease in Singchung sub-division of West Kameng district on Thursday night, while two persons were detected with the infection in Changlang and one in Longding, he said.

He discussed with the two former Presidents about the number of coronavirus traumatic events, medical conditions and lockdowns over the phone.

Modi also sought the advice and views of the two former presidents on what other steps should be taken by the government to control the transmission of the deadly virus. He also sought the views of the two former prime ministers, Manmohan Singh and HD Devegowda.
