Recently in a horrifying incident, a massive fire broke out causing two cooking gas cylinders to explode at a local biriyani restaurant in the Haider Para area of Siliguri. The incident created widespread panic among local residents. According to reports, the fire followed by the blast caused substantial damage to the surrounding area. The local residents immediately informed the fire department and the officials of the Bhakti Nagar police station about the incident. Subsequently, two fire brigade vehicles actually arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted. The fire-fighters faced significant challenges but managed to bring the fire under control.

Significantly, the owner actually closed the shop late at night and left the shop’s refrigerator running overnight. In fact preliminary investigations by the fire department suggest that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit in the refrigerator. This is a very sad incident and people need to take it very seriously so that this thing does not happen in future by doing work with safety.

In Fulbari a vehicle collides with electric pole

Recently a chaotic incident unfolded in Fulbari where a vehicle lost control and collided with a roadside electric pole leading to disruption of electricity services in the area. Luckily, there were no reported casualties in the incident. As per reports, the incident occurred in the Amaidighi area of Fulbari along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. Actually the vehicle, travelling from Jalpaiguri towards Siliguri, veered out of control near Fulbari and crashed into the roadside electric pole. As a result, the electrical pole broke halting electricity supply to the area temporarily.

Meanwhile, upon receiving the information, the Fulbari Highway Traffic Guard police and the Electrical Department officials arrived at the spot. This is actually very bad incident as this type of accident is happening and making road an unsafe place. In fact it becomes our duty to follow traffic rules very strictly and make road a safe place to use. Actually for any place road is very important infrastructure as everything is depend on it and for this reason we should use road properly.

In Mathabhanga house reduced to ashes and valuables worth lakhs damaged

On this Sunday night, a sudden fire reduced an entire house to ashes located in Paschim Khaterbari area of Hajarhat II Gram Panchayat under Mathabhanga Block I. Upon being alerted, the fire department personnel actually arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control. Reportedly, gold jewellery, cash, jute, tobacco, paddy kept in the residence was actually burnt to ashes.

In this regard, the family has claimed damage worth lakhs of rupees. Actually the preliminary analysis indicates that the inferno was sparked by a short circuit. In J&K’s Ramban 10 people killed as cab falls into 300-feet gorge

Recently at least 10 people died after a taxi fell into a 300 feet deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban area on Friday. Actually the incident happened when the SUV was on its way to Jammu on Jammu-Srinagar highway. In fact the bodies of the deceased have been recovered amid heavy rains as police and State Disaster Response Force personnel are at the spot. In Fulbari two injured in a bike car collision

Recently a tragic incident surfaced where two individuals were injured in a collision between a bike and car at Batallion More near Fulbari on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway (NH). Actually the injured individuals are Debashish Nandi and Papiya Nandi. According to the reports, on Saturday, a couple was on their way to Fulbari from Siliguri on a bike. During this, the two-wheeler collided with a four-wheeler coming from the opposite direction. Consequently, both occupants of the bike suffered injuries. After the incident, the locals rushed to rescue and transported the injured to the hospital.

Upon receiving the news, the police of Fulbari Highway Traffic Guard and the cops of NJP police station arrived at the spot. The police recovered both the vehicles and initiated an investigation into the entire incident. This is actually very sad incident as such type of incident is happening. People should take this incident very seriously and follow traffic rules very strictly so that in future this type of accident doesn’t happen in future.

A sharp 12% rise in road accidents in India as speeding is a major factor

Train accident in Andhra Pradesh as 2 trains collide

2 dead, 5 injured as Rolls Royce collides with oil tanker in Gurugram

The collision was so strong that both vehicles caught fire, the oil tanker overturned and the driver and passenger were trapped and unable to escape.

Two people died and four were critically injured when a speeding oil tanker collided with a luxury sedan on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Urmi village of Nuh around 2 pm on Tuesday, police officials said.

According to the police, the collision was so strong that both cars caught fire, the oil tanker overturned and the driver and passenger were trapped and could not escape. They burned in the fire, police said.

According to the SP, Narender Bijarniya, the third passenger of the oil tanker, survived but was seriously injured. “The car was identified as a Rolls-Royce, and its four passengers were seriously injured and taken to a private hospital in Gurugram, where their condition was reported to be critical,” he said.

The deceased have been identified as Rampreet Kumar and Kuldeep Singh, residents of Alwar in Rajasthan. The third occupant of the tanker has been identified as Gautam Kumar, who hails from Uttar Pradesh.

According to a preliminary investigation, the tanker belonging to a private company was carrying diesel and was on its way to the National Highways Authority of India site to supply fuel for gensets. “Rampreet was driving the tanker on the wrong side of the road as he wanted to take a U-turn when it collided with a Rolls-Royce coming from the Sohna side. Bijarnia said the tanker overturned after the collision due to the high speed of the two vehicles.

Woman raped by man she met on dating app

A woman was allegedly gang-raped by a man she met on a dating app and his friend at a hotel in Haryana’s Gurugram. According to the police, the victim said in her complaint that she met the accused through a dating app who later invited her to a hotel in Gurugram’s Sector 50 area on June 29.

The woman, in her complaint, further alleged that the duo recorded the entire act and threatened to make her video viral.

At the hotel, she said the man and his friend offered her food, after which she passed out, police said Tuesday.

“They took advantage of it to rape me and film the incident. When I protested after I regained consciousness, the accused threatened to make his video viral. Somehow I came back home but now I have reached the police,” the victim said in her complaint.

Haryana Police has registered an FIR against two unidentified accused under sections of gang rape at Sector 50 police station, SHO Praveen Malik said.

One killed, three injured in cloudburst at Kais village near Kullu

One person lost his life in a cloudburst at Kias village in Kullu, DSP headquarters Rajesh Thakur said, adding that three people were injured and nine vehicles were damaged in the rain-related incident on Monday.

“One person was killed, 3 injured and 9 vehicles damaged in a cloudburst at Kias village in Kullu, Thakur told news agency ANI.

Rains in Himachal Pradesh have wreaked havoc in the hill state, causing cloudbursts, landslides and floods that have so far killed 108 people, according to government data released last week.

Among all the affected states in North India, Himachal Pradesh has been the worst hit, followed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah approving the advance release of the second installment of the central portion of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) of Rs 180.40 crore.

A total of 11 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed for rescue operations in Himachal Pradesh along with rescue boats and other necessary equipment.

Also, 1 PARA SF and a column of 205 Army Aviation Squadron have been deployed to Paonta Sahib for civilian evacuation. “Two MI-17V5 helicopters have been deployed for an evacuation operation.”

Heavy rains will continue in Himachal Pradesh for the next few days, with the IMD issuing a red alert for several regions on Sunday.

“Orange Alert: Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall (115.6 to 204.4 mm) between July 16 and July 17,” the Met department tweeted on Sunday afternoon.

“As of July 17, there is a moderate to high risk of flash food in and around some water bodies in Chamba, Kangra, Sirmaur, Shimla and Kullu districts,” imd Shimla added.

Heavy rains in north India have led to several landslides that have blocked roads and trapped many. Ndrf teams and other disaster management personnel have rescued thousands of people over the past few days as floodwaters have entered low-lying areas.
